Mobility Solutions, Inc. recommends Bruno stairlifts. We install many of these lifts and find them to be very dependable. The Electra-Ride II is battery-powered, so you will not get stranded if there is a power outage and there is no special house wiring needed. It has rack and pinion drive system for smoother operation and the speed is adjustable. The seat swivels, is height adjustable and folds up out of the way when not in use. We order these in bulk quantities and can therefore offer them at less than MSRP and also provide immediate installation. Bruno (an American company located in Wisconsin) also has a new stairlift offering called the Elite. It uses a vertical rail and therefore takes up less of the staircase width, which is helpful if you have a narrow staircase. Bruno stairlifts also come with wireless remote call/send controls to facilitate the use of the lift by more than one person.
